Our First Review is a Classic Standard of Fantasy Literature

We will begin with “The Hobbit” by J.R.R.Tolkien

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia – The Hobbit, or There and Back Again, better known by its abbreviated title The Hobbit, is a fantasy novel and children’s book by J. R. R. Tolkien. It was published on 21 September 1937 to wide critical acclaim, being nominated for the Carnegie Medal and awarded a prize from the New York Herald Tribune for best juvenile fiction. The book remains popular and is recognized as a classic in children’s literature.

Our Thoughts:

The Hobbit is a fascinating tale. It takes us into a strange new world where we’ve never been. It is a book full of adventure and heroism, with fascinating places like: the Shire , Rivendell, The Misty Mountains, and Mirkwood, and do not forget Lonely Mountain. The story is about unlikely heroes after a dragon called Smaug and the treasure he stole.

This is a story that can be enjoyed by readers (and listeners) of all ages. It is a story that can and should be read again and again. We all have an inner Hobbit. Finding yours will be a whole lot of fun. I recomend this book to anyone, any age, anytime, anywhere. 5 stars
